I feel like you were right and that no one should even look in my direction after I have just completed 30 gestures. I started with a four minute timer and then went as low as a minute to see what results it produces and well, some might have been a little *too hasty* in 60 seconds. Anyway, glad to have been a part of the fun, I think I have gotten slightly better at this but oh well, long way to go.
Previously, I used to just wing poses without a gesture and a lot of the times I did end up having to go back and redo them multiple times. Since I started this course, I *always* start my drawings with a gesture and let's just say, it was quite an improvement.
Thanks, Mr Hampton!

hello there, i just completed the course, and im very thankful for all the great knowledge imparted, its only my own limited brain power that is struggling with putting it to actual use. the traditional drawings are all referenced and the digital coloured ones are done from imagination. i tried to experiment with asymmetries in the digital ones but i seem to just make them skewed instead of achieving a natural look. sigh. still, i am very glad i took the course: now i have a solid understanding of how i am supposed to be building heads and not just winging it. thanks a lot, Mr Hampton, i will surely come back to this course and revisit the lessons <3

I'm just starting to watch the lesson. I'm really looking forward to it because I like Michael's method of teaching. I generally struggle with face construction at this point with other teachers.
One question I do have and it may be addressed in upcoming videos is when drawing traditionally how do I deal with all of the lines that I have laid in so far. It seems like it will be a challenge to reduce/lighten them? If anyone who has taken this course has suggestions please let me know I would greatly appreciate it.
I generally just try to draw them lighter so they get lost once I go in with the actual information I want to communicate, buuut you could use a blending stump to get rid of them and still maintain some sort of underdrawing to use as a guide. Or good ol' tracing paper, I suppose.
