I'm not a beginner, but want to brush up on my technique. Cant wait to trace this for a charcoal drawing. I find pencil kind of hard for drawings, as i I cant match the values on the reference. The model left the picture. Havent watched the portrait tutorial, will do now.

Level 2 pear is wayyyyy more difficult than Level 1! I used white to show more obvious highlights for the Level 2 one. Would that be considered a 6th value, technically I would just be leaving that area blank?

That was a lot harder than I expected. I generally only use a one value clutch pencil so It was really hard to achieve the lighter values. I've just watched the demo and now I'm super excited to buy some new pencils and try this again.
