Hello! Here's my attempt at this activity - I did one page of 30 sec - 1 min sketches of gestures from the Proko model pack. Then I did the same gestures for 2 mins each to see how the different times had different results, also having that 30 seconds warm-up. These are super feathered and so the first critique of having of my own is to focus on being more deliberate with my lines and using fewer pencil strokes to express the lines I'm trying to make. Anyway, hit me with what you'd advise! Cheers Ps: My niece is also into figure drawing, as you can see on the last page! 😉

Speed will naturally come with time. Make them correct and focus on the quality instead of rushing yourself. Your lines are very scratchy, use your arm or shoulder and make fluid motions without going over one line over and over to make a curve. An understanding of anatomy should further improve your gesture drawings as well as simplifying the body into 3-D shapes.

It looks like you have a good sense of the movement of the pose. You already have a few good clean lines in each figure, you just need to work on cleaning up the other lines. Try using the ghosting technique and make a few imaginary strokes before touching pencil on paper and then commit to that line, don't go over it. Your 2 min sketches don't look much different than your 30 sec ones. Mine were like this too so I have been working on 30 sec gestures to improve line quality.
