"Punch in face!" 11x14 watercolor on watercolor paper. It's meant to capture that one time I got in a fistfight with Lobo. Didn't end well for me but I got this cool portrait out of it.

Here's me. Would love critique. Digital, done in clip studio.

Very cool! I like the warm and cool light sources and the good blocky forms and shapes. Also the painterly strokes under the eyes look pretty neat. And the slightly crooked glasses add character 🤓 Two ideas you might want to try out: 1. Add a more interesting background to tie it all together. Maybe a simplfied background that is also in the same light environment. 2. Find some more variation in the saturation. Tone it down in the non-focus areas and add a few key details where the contrast and saturation is upped a little. This is optional however, I personally like your style as is already!

Great job with the lighting and blocked shading. The only thing I would recommend would be to experiment with the background. Right now the value of your background is quite similar to some of the tones in your portrait. Try going with a darker background, vignetting or some kind of texture that separates your foreground from your background and make your portrait pop.

Ditto the comment about the lighting! I like all your hard edges too.

The lighting is great, I love the way the light is painted in the right side of the face
