Hi everyone i am very excited to share with you my drawing it is the first time i participate at a challenge (okay one time at kindergarden!) I hope you will like it it is my all time favorite book Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and my 3 colors are as you can see marine blue, purple and yellow! I would love to read your comments to improve!

This is a really interesting dark take on the Harry Potter book covers! I like all the textures and your font style is interesting. There's something off to me about Sirius Black's head - I think it might be a bit big and I think one eye might be bigger than the other. It's a bit difficult to tell if your intentionally posing the head to look dead straight at the viewer or off to the side a little because the features of the face look like they are looking at us straight on but the shape of the face make it look like it's a bit turned to his left. But yeah, I like your take on this book!
Hi, this is my final submission for "Walden" by Henry David Thoreau.
Probably not my favorite book, but I read it once and I found it very cozy.
I tried to keep it on a traditional feel but also with a modern touch.
I'm so excited about this challenge! I made a cover for the Book 'A Murder Most Unladylike' by Robin Stevens - I love children's book illustration and am personally not a big fan of the original covers, so this was very fun to do! I used a limited color palette - staying with cool greens and warm red/oranges as a contrast.
The line work is done traditionally with pencil - colored in digitally, with a traditional gouache texture.
the prompt was inspired by the Penguin Book Awards prompt - but I was not able to actually participate due to not living in the UK. I put a lot of work into this cover, so I'm very excited to be able to show it to people on here!
By limited palett color, does shades and tints are included? So if 1 of my 3 colors is #01b3c7, i can have all the shades and tints of that hex, right? Plus another 2 hexes with shades and tints? Thank you!
I believe so. One of the replies from one of the officials below states this:
1. 2-3 colors (and white) with with variety overlays and opacities
Hi! Do we have to create our own typography since it's an illustration challenge? I mean can it be handwritten? Or we use a font that already exist that we try to fit in our drawing? Thank you!
Hi @Charles Hunter the submission will be judged on the "use of typography for the title and author's name". You can create your own font, or use an existing one.
