Rooster simple shape portrait. Working on the other animals. It might not look it, but I can feel line quality is easier with the practicing.

i had a hard time trying not to copy the pictures. so i appreciated the different sketches to play on a specific feature of each and then tried to mix the ones i liked into the final drawing which is the one on the slightly cooler grey paper. i was going for sleepy owl with a big head.
how does one get more gesture in their lines? that's the part i'm not quite getting in this but i will trust the process.

My fave is the vr becaue i felt like i was loosening up a bit more. but i wonder how to make my drawings take up volume in the space. the penguin feels a little flat.

Camel simplify. Really tried for loose here and changed my pencil grip to try and help with just focusing on long lines. This was fun

Lvl 1. Still found myself drawing short lines and not using my whole arm. I'd start long then end up short again. Something to work on.

My attempt at lvl 2. It's funny I see so much more I could have done after I took a photo of it. I think my middle to not so middle was too light. Like around the right eye I thought I had so much darker. But it looks like a face. So I'm happy with this attempt. Simplying into shapes was really hard with this compared to the pear.
