Asked for help
Hi everyone. I'm new to receiving criticism, but I think its necessary if I am going to move from self doubt. I just recently went into landmarks and was wondering how I did and how I can improve. I don't know why I am finding landmarks so hard

Critiques welcomed, appreciated, and harsh truth encouraged.

Okay, since you don't mind the harsh truth, I will do my best. I am only going to focus on the landmarks. In 1 and 3, you do a good job laying out the landmarks. I can really see the effort you put into your lines as well. In 2, however, it seems like you didn't use many landmarks at all. I would also recommend for further practice with landmarks that you use other references like free figure pose websites or the model packs. It just seems like you copied from the video. It's better to use other references for good practice in general for knowing if you can lay landmarks on any figure. I think you did an okay job, but that's what I would expect this early on in the lessons. What I would recommend is moving on, going through the lessons, understanding them, not to perfection, but to where you have a general understanding AND can then apply them generally. Then go back through the lessons when you are done with the course and if you feel you are not doing great with, let's say ,landmarks or the robo bean, study those a bit more using what you know from other lessons as well. Hope this critique helps a bit if any.

Hello everyone. This is the first gesture drawings. I would like to request for feedback and critiques please. Thanks.

So when I look at your gesture drawings, the first thing that comes to mind is that your following the contour in some of them. For contrast, the man in the ballerina pose you drew has a very flow like movement about him. I have trouble with this too and what helps me is to remember I'm drawing with spaghetti. Noodles, curves, and flow-like is the way to go . Other then that, you have clean line work and an overall okay understanding of gesture to the point where i can definitely understand what's happening in every picture. Nice job, keep it up 8/10

Another bean post! Somewhat difficult to define the twist I think. Any feedback is welcome.

I'm not going to lie. Some of your beans have really good exaggeration and that's great because you don't want them becoming too stiff in later stages. I'd say you are pretty okay with tilts and leans, but your twists seem a little more unexaggerated than the rest of your examples. A good way, in my case, to fix that is to just go back and study a little more on the twist references, seeing the balance between the two sides. Other then that, you have clean line work and have a good understanding of the bean. Great job all around! 8.5/10
