Pretty new to shading and values I wasn’t to happy with my first attempt so tried again with the second pear, I feel like it came out a lot better but critique a comments are welcomed. 😅

The shape of the pears look great. The contour of it doesn’t make it look flat. The second one has a bigger range of value than the first.

Here are my first attempts at the project. Wanted to improve the fundamentals and gain critiques from the community! Had a lot of fun thinking how challenging simplification is. Let me know how I did.

These look great! Especially the pear. I like how sharp you made the edges of the different shapes. I think you could sharpen up the shapes on the portrait more. You want hard edges for this assignment. Keep things as simple as possible. It’s ok to get rid of the details.
Nice work dividing the different values on the side of the page! These are lovely drawings. Thanks for sharing!
