Here, I sketched the skull to gain a better understanding of its structure, focusing on different aspects for each drawing:
1. Gesture and simplified forms (CSI lines)
2. Correcting the plane changes (orientation of parallel planes: eye, jaw, teeth)
3. Using straight lines to simplify the look
4. Wireframe/basic shapes and orientation
5. Sketching with the overhand grip to improve line quality and gesture
6. Focusing on 3D planes (capturing in 3D)
7. Profile of the skull
Looking back at the drawings, I realized there were many shapes I hadn't noticed before. For instance, the shape of the cheekbones is quite an interesting organic form. Additionally, I never noticed the fin-like bone extension after the teeth in the jaw—quite fascinating!
