love the course so far. I wish there was a more step by step in the lines he's putting down rhythm wise. He does some, but other times he just adds rhythm lines likely because he's just done it for so long. Kind of a draw along more so then a detailed guide on how to use these

My pencils break, almost all the time. I used conte and charcoal of different brands. I use a sharp razor and I'm super careful not to apply too much pressure, and then it just breaks. If doesn't break during sharpening, it will break during sanding. I end up going back to my clutch pencil with graphite. Seems trivial, but it's super frustrating. I don't know if it's because I buy them on amazon and they break during shipping. Any tips are welcome.
@kungfufrogz
that's amazon.

Very happy this course was made. Planning on watching, then drawing along with each lesson and then venturing off to use the Reilly method from reference with no instruction.

I can see so many things in this video that I recognize from artists I love but never knew where to even begin to emulate. Going to practice this a lot before going to the next video. Any suggested excercises?

One cool exercise that I would have liked to see here is to try drawing these rhythms on specific poses, and then compare them to a solution. But since we have no solution, if you're up for it, we could share some references, try to draw Reilly rhythms on them and see/question what we did differently? I dunno, I'm proposing.

I drew along the video, trying to follow the process for front/side/back poses. Depending on the pose, it wasn't always clear which line I was intended to draw, so I may have some weird stuff there and there. I need to spend some time studying what each rhythm means, I guess.

Yes that is the thing with some teaching methods that they are easy to draw (for me) with standard standing poses (contra posta, bending a little bit). But I don't found more information how to apply reilly on more complex methods. Because I visit regular live classes you can strugle a lot if you don't know how to apply. Than I fall back to sketching messy the figure instead of applying one method if I have only five to ten minutes for a figure. @Alexis Riviere I think you did the correct way to experiment. But I had the hope that I found more information in this payed course. I will not say that I am disappointed, this is more of a constructive critique for this course. Perhaps @Brian Knox can add also some complex poses (or did I oversee something, than sorry)... Please don't understand me wrong: I like the reilly rythm and want go beyond the standard poses :-)
