nicely done! I like how the clay almost already looks like a bronze cast. The forms are looking good! If you cleaned up some of the texture this might be a good one to try molding and casting. Keep up the great work!

Hi Andrew. I have sculpted a pretty nice life size arm in oil based clay, and I want to cast it into something that is durable for my outdoor sculpture garden. What material should I use for the mold, and the sculpture. Plaster won't hold up outdoors, right?...should I use some kind of resin? I don't think that concrete casting stuff could get fine detail. I am assuming you can't take a plaster cast of an oil based clay sculpture, have to use polyurethane? or Silicone? I watched zoe dufours course, but that is water based clay and a plaster waste mold.

yes I usually use some type of silicone for mold making and then plaster for the mother mold. you might check out the YouTube channel "Brick in the Yard" mold supply. they have many videos showing the mold making process and options for materials. I'll be doing some lessons on cheap mold making techniques but those might not come out for a little bit.
