Viking Character Design

Hello, guys just did this Viking lineart. What do you guys think about the proportions, design, and anatomy of the character? Here is a general description of the character, He is a Cruel Ruler of the snow mountains, he likes to kill and loves eating bear meat. Thank you for your valuable time
Design critiques:
I'm not buying the dagger sitting in that thin cloth band. If this guy is in the mountains climbing, hunting, and engaging in melee combat with bears, he's gonna need a sturdier holster.
I also wouldn't have known he's a leader if you didn't tell me. He kinda looks like a generic viking. I don't know the solution, but that's just my impression.
His clothes look very new. If you were to render this, I would add weathering and tears. Also wouldn't his arms get cold in the snow? Unless that's intentional to show how tough he is, I'd dress him in warmer clothes.
Otherwise I like it- great work!
Hey Atharva,
I like your Viking guy, pretty cool. The drawing is really clean, and with nice detail. When I did an under drawing, I found that the head looks like its pushed down into the body. I did a draw over and made some changes that I think would make it more structurally sound. I hope you find these drawings helpful. Your already pretty good so keep up the good work :)
Hi there ,I like it and my opinion is: its pretty clean there is not much to say. It looks like its gonna be a sheet of turn around's like a concept artists do. I would try something different like turn his head towards the camera and and a little bit tilted and do his face expression somehow angry or something. Also I will love to see his arms anatomy a bit more and maybe give him some tattoo on one of the hands.Bulk him a bit. and (bear paw from his "cloak" ? bear skull on his waist ? ) Its clean, but a bit generic, go wild! good luck :)
You are asking about the black/white sketch, right? The lineart is really clean. i love all the details with the decorations and bandaged clothing and his face too!
I think his right lower arm part is too short. But I am not good at human proportions myself.
So I would like to encourage you to push the pose. It of course depends on how you want a final image of him to look like, but you could try a more energetic, victorious pose. Or an actual fighting moment. Or even something completely different, like being exhausted and injured standing over a defeated enemy/bear. Doesn't matter what direction but I would push the pose to feel the moment, put a little story/situation in it (if you want of course).
I think it will be great, I wish I could make such smooth line art :D
