Using lines to indicate hierarchy of importance, light, depth

Hello everyone. This was my attempt at using line weight to make my art more dynamic? I feel like I managed to communicate light to shadow and outer form vs inner form, but I don’t really feel any sense of depth from my lines except for the fact that they represent a 3D form. Please critique, thank you :)
Your lines are too thick in the light side. Use line thickness not line value to show the difference. I did quick demo to show you what I mean :)
