Small Portrait ( feedback greeted)

Hello ! Looking for some feedback 👋 I tried to make a portait that’s every small ( not even half a sketchbook page) compared to the ones I’m used to. The challenge was not to focus on the details too much and try to give a simplified version of the photo. So what do you think? Any review or critique is greatly appreciated

Nice work! I think you go the likeness of the reference very well. I few critiques that I want to give: 1) I think your shadow values are a little similar to the light sides or not dark enough to show where the light source is, I think you should make them darker to make it clearer. Don't be afraid to push the darks. 2) The eyes are a little too big. I think making sure that proportions are right at the layin stage should fix this if youre trying to make a more accurate sketch. 3) I wouldve liked to see if you put more effort on the hair. The way it is right now his hair looks too messy compared to the reference where its more refined. Keep up the great work!

I see, I knew something was off with the eyes haha. Thanks a lot for pointing that out ! I will work more on the shadows and the hair in my future drawings. Thank you for your precious feedback!
