Neck and 3/4 view proportions
1yr
@aaron_1
When I draw figures in 3/4 view, the head seems to be too large and too far from the rest of the body. Does anyone have any tips on maintaining consistent proportions when drawing in 3/4 view?
I'm not sure what order you are drawing the figure in - but make sure that you draw the torso first. Whenever I start with the head, the proportions get wacky real fast.
Use simple shapes to do your lay-in, then attach the tube of the neck into the opening of the ribcage at the top. Then add the ball of the cranium and add the mask of the face.
I did a quick sketch to show you what I mean, hope it helps :)
