You should start by studying the anatomy of hands and then copying drawings from others. Paying attention to the proportions is very important. So take your time, measure carefully, and then start. You'll see lots of improvement soon. There are lots of books and YouTube videos that can help you.

What are some books you'd recommend?
I've been trying to get better at drawing hands, and I would like some advice on how I can improve.
When I draw figures in 3/4 view, the head seems to be too large and too far from the rest of the body. Does anyone have any tips on maintaining consistent proportions when drawing in 3/4 view?

Hey aaron,
I don't know if you are going for a real or anime face, but they all have things in common.
I did a quick sketch to show you how to find the proper proportions to the face, I hope it helps :)
I am not going for an anime style face, I was going for more of a classic comic book style face.
I've been drawing for a while and I'd like some critiques on some portraits I have recently sketched.
