Here are a couple of my better master studies I did (digitally). I think I really need to look at more of these with a focus on composition. I have terrible sense of composing colored paintings right now.
Well I didn't really want to start a new thread for this. It is somewhat based on a Sargent painting. Let me know what you think. I don't really like the character design.
Keith Parkinson was one of my favorite artists and I don't think anyone else knows about him. Here's a study based off one of his book covers.

Nice, this is awesome! Looked up the artist and it's the dude who did the Everquest covers! I'm getting a fat dose of nostalgia now haha.
I still hate the way I draw and paint rocks. Does anybody have a decent tutorial or advice on how to paint rocks? I'd prefer not to just copy and paste a rock texture from a photo and actually be able to paint something (even if it is from reference).
