Female torso sculpture

Here’s a recent female torso study. A great exercise for sculptors at all levels! Be sure to check out the new figure sculpting fundamentals course!
This is with an oil based modeling clay, correct? Do you work with natural fired clay too? I have always used different kinds of terra cotta clay, which means I can fire it, but it leads to complications as it shrinks during drying.

I prefer using oil based clay and making molds for the pieces I want to save but I have done a little with terracotta. For This course I’ll mostly be using oil based clay.

The little leaf you add to cover the "private parts" in some of your sculptures somehow adds an extra touch of fun, haha :D Stunning work, Andrew!
