@Stan Prokopenko Took this course a year back and I have been practising since. This is my latest drawing, Charcoal on Bristol paper. Let me know what you think and what the areas for improvement are.

Hi, nice drawing, I just started with watercolor and find it quite difficult. I wish there was a course for this. Do you sometimes know a good book or other sources to learn watercolors?
@yurishka
Hi, here are my latest portraits. Except for the last, all done on a small A5 sketchbook. What do you think ?
Taylor Patterson
These are awesome, I feel the women without the glasses could use more time in the shadowed area, unless you are going for a more 3 tone look, they are really good!
Khalid Bayan
awesome

These are very good. Little room for improvement here and there, but there always is. Did you take Proko portrait class? Do you like it?

on 3 and 4 I would try and define the chin as you cant really tell where the chin ends and neck begins. The same way you made things darker near the hair on 3, I would do the same near the neck. on 3 the eyes seem a bit big. I would try going over the original and chacking. overall, all of them are great and I really had to look for anything wrong. all the forms are vary well defined

Hi, here is a portrait I did on watercolor paper (had fun with the pencil so did not paint it). Any critique ?
Taylor Patterson
The portrait looks great, and is far beyond my skill level, something I notice just looking at is is that the ears appear to be different sizes and both look too small for the head.

AI generated image ? Where does it come from ?

Day 3 of drawing these eyes. What should I do to improve?

Hi, first of all you should draw bigger to allow you some space to draw details. Then I would advise to focus on shapes. The pupil is always a circle in perspective. Those are wobbly and sometimes their contour is broken. Practice drawing circles (face, side, up, down...). Use references to help you. Also it would be helpful to draw the eyeball before adding other features (like eyelids and shadows). Think about the eye in 3D. Do not hesitate to re-watch Proko's videos about it !

This one was just for fun :)

Looks great! :) I like the looseness and the watercolor rendering, especially how you worked without lines for the lower ribs in the back. It adds some extra depth.

Hello, just finished this recently. I feel pretty unsatisfied with the result and since its a digital drawing feels like I cant replicate the chaotic detail feeling of charcoal that Stan used..My feeling is I'm still too afraid when applying shading. Any feedback will be really helpful and appreciated.

Since you're working digital, if you are afraid of shading, you can add a layer with additional shading. If you are happy with it, merge the layers and go on. About your drawing, there is a lot of lining, especially on the chest. Instead of tracing the pectorals, just shade with halftones. Also draw the nipples and genitals, they are part of anatomy, unless your model is maimed. Do not hesitate to compare your measurements with your reference before going into shading, the head can be improved. Keep going !

Hi everyone, here is my final drawing. I didn't go for Yoni because I really don't like the pose. I used the Conté Pierre Noire, it's a good discovery for me because I have no good feeling with the charcoal and yet wanted this kind of black. I used a brush to smooth the pigments (no charcoal powder in stock yet), helping me to reach the values. Paper is not smooth enough, so I felt like I could not add much details. Eyes were tricky to do. Generally speaking I am quite happy with the result even though it does not look very clean, pencil work being a bit sloppy. I think I can do better with more practice and more patience. What do you think about it? Please tell me if you need the reference.
@yurishka
Well it's... the definition of "off" :D
