Hey!, I am definitely not an expert but I wanted to say that i think that your sketches do not look like manikins at all. They have expressions and they look like they are in ‘movement’. It is good to be critical of your own work but don’t be to critical ;) but it’s also easier to be more objective about someone else there work then your own. I hope this helps. (Again, I am far from an expert)
Here is my entry :) fun fast exercise , no time to overthink.

Hello, here is my entry :)
made with pencil and fineliner on paper.
her name is frustrato. In the Netherlands there is is expression that when your so frustrated you get a pointy head from it. My mother says it allot and then I always invision her with a pointy head. So I based my superhero on this.
so after years of her adult life being kind of a frustrating mess, she had a breakdown and because of all that mental frustration all at once she gets a really point head! But she quickly discovers that her new point head holds a lot of power. It makes her superhumanly strong. At fist she uses her powers only to her own Benifit and she is actually more a villain in some cases, but she slowly learns that she can do good things and fight injustice with her new powers.
