I love these Martin! You have really clean lines and really great gesture! I think some of the proportions seem a little long through the torso mostly. And in the very last sketch, the head was pretty small for the body. In some of these the sense of 3d is definitely stronger in some than others. I think your weakest spot is defining the dimension in the deltoid. But I think overall, these are really well done!

this made me cry but I got over it

No need to cry Kaylee. Give yourself some credit for tackling a very complex concept and practice. It does look like you got it. You persevered.

Hi @Kaylee Nelson, nice studies! and good level of simplification! "this made me cry but I got over it" Yeah, simplifying things into geometric forms can be tricky! I noticed that the Figure Drawing Fundamentals Course wasn't in you course library. Have you taken it? (or anything equivalent to it?). The things taught in the figure drawing course, like gesture and 3D-forms, make the anatomy course much less intimidating. You could think of it as the Anatomy 1 course. I strongly recommend taking it before the anatomy course. The lessons in the figure drawing course that would help you the most with this exercise are lesson 3, 5 & 6 (structure, robo bean and mannequinization). I hope this was helpful :) Keep up the good work! PS Here´s a encouraging little story from my life: A few years ago I dreamed of being able to draw Tarzan. The Disney movie had been my favorite since I was a baby. I really wanted to learn anatomy, I found proko´s course, and started taking it, but I soon felt that something was lacking: I didn't know the fundamentals well enough. It was difficult to realize that, because it felt like my goal of being able to draw Tarzan was miles away, but I decided to take the figure drawing course anyway. I´m so glad I did! It gave me exactly what I wanted!; being able to draw gestural 3-dimensional figures, from imagination. I learned the most important part of drawing Tarzan! And to my suprise my figures felt quite accurate eventhough I didn´t know anatomy. It was like I had learned the pattern of the human body. I realized that rather than thinking of the figure drawing course being a obstacle in front of the anatomy course, it is more like the Anatomy 1 course.

I get in that same procrastination with TikTok all the time. You literally have to be self aware and say "no!" and close the app definitely. I make my social medias harder to access on my phone by removing them from the home screen so I have to search to find it. But I think the more you sit down and decide to focus on art, the easier it gets just to do your studies. Really letting yourself dive deep into your studies is whats going to make you enjoy it more advance

Yes I try my best to fight the resistance. I try to be self aware as much as I can 😅 thank you for sharing ! I'll go dive into my study 🥰
