Man those boots were hard. And going from those to the snail was easier. I definitely sketch a bit and erase to then apply more confident lines.

Very nice! You definitely got it down, with great proportions, linework, and general simplification. Something to keep an eye out in the future could be incorporating more straight lines as this can help add more structure and variety to your drawings, as well as practice confidence. You're already on the right track, keep up the good work! :)

I like your distinct value representation. I think you simplified the shadow and highlight shapes really well.
