My interpretation of the term "Psychopomp".

This was enjoyable. I think I had a breakthrough with how I see color towards the end of the assignment. I do have one question though: why does the middle of the skull look purple and orange at the same time? It's very perplexing.

Spot the one that I stubbornly spent ten hours on! 😅 This is the most challenging art assignment I've done so far. The drawing with the grapes is especially insightful because the grapes are clearly green but visually have more gray and yellow in the photo with only a hint of green.

Had fun with this one.

I don't know if I'm on the right track. Could someone please let me know if I'm doing anything wrong?

The main point of this first assignment is gaining basic brush control and learning to see values. If the brightest brights and darkest darks match and you have a nice smooth transition in the middle of the sphere and a nice clean edge along the silhouette then you qwill be ready for future lessons. I think for direct feedback, I say work on those smooth transitions of gradients inside the sphere. Week 02 should become a lot easier

I think you're on the right track, but maybe try softening the edges of the value changes, it'll help make it look smoother. And soften the edges around your shadows. The contact point between the ball and table should be really dark. Hope this helps!
