This is actually quite hard. I keep losing my place.
Thomas Fisher
I did a study of Jeff Watts, I really enjoyed this but I got lost a lot. and not all the same deatails are in this. I cut off bits of his hair and screwed up the ear big time. But all in all, I'm proud, and I enjoyed doing it. I'm gonna do it again.
Thomas Fisher
I have to admit that I did not understand this one all that much.
Thomas Fisher
So is the red one for the light shadows trace?
Thomas Fisher
After watching this I realize that I'm not sketching I'm copying the image and I need to try again.
Thomas Fisher
I am quite proud of this one. Though it's not perfect, I felt like I did some good practice here.
Thomas Fisher
I felt I did really well on the hand. Should make my lives a bit more clear.
Thomas Fisher
This was much harder then the snail the laces really got me tripped up.
Thomas Fisher
The snail felt very unsatisfying, I felt at a loss of what to do but I guess I did it right.
Tommy Pinedo
I am not sure if this was your first or second attempt but I would say map out the snail lightly on your paper. Get the proportions right first and like stan said, for the shell drawing a "container" or a box where the whole shell would be. Then map out the body using straight lines and angles. Do this all lightly. Look back at your image and see if its close. Once you feel like the proportions are right, use the CSI lines to sketch out your snail. I hope this helps!
