I didn't exaggerate enough but just did a caricature of Nicole Kidman.

Hi @Jesper Personally I've been on Skillshare for years. Not only are there tons of oil painting courses but also other types of art courses and also design and business courses. A few artists of which I have taken the class with the style of your choice are Kristy Gordon and Mark Hill. Kristy - I think she teaches in-person but also on Zoom. I've never taken classes but she has mentorship programs and I am interested in that. Mark Hill - Most of his classes on Skillshare are drawing but there are a few oil painting courses. I really liked some of the things he teaches there. I checked out SIMPLIFY Drawing and Painting on YouTube and visited his Instagram account. I saw one of the artists I follow on Instagram, A.J. Alper, also follows him. A.J. has tons of demos on his YouTube channel as well although I've never taken his courses. Do you happen to follow A.J. Alper?

Focusing on sketching as suggested, redid Obama, and added Churchill and Fauchi. Please critique

Good work on Michelle and I love the nose of Fauci.

From my recent gesture drawing practice sessions. I know I am still drawing contour and I should draw more rhythmically. Any thoughts and feedback would be appreciated!

Hi @Takatomo Homma, I think there´s a lot of good stuff going on in these! Yes, you are drawing contours, but you´re also simplifying them, to more gestural curves, so for something like two minute quicksketches I think you´re on the right track. What Stan does in a 30 second pose is that he simplifies more. He finds the long rythms that connect many bodyparts. A fun challenge is to try to draw a pose with as few lines (CSI) as possible. In the critique video I think Marshall Vandruff suggests starting of with only 5 lines (CSI) + head. That could be a fun challenge which I think you´ll benefit a lot from Hope this helps :) P.S. Have you heard how Stan suggest that you practice? I think he suggests that you 1. Try an assignment pose for yourself 2. Look at Stan and copy his drawing 3. Try for yourself again, without looking at his drawing If you haven´t already, I recommend applying this practice pattern to your studies, since it will help you pick up his good habits.

Caricature of caricaturist Tom Richmond, Acrylic on cardboard. I did this painting for Facebook group, Coronacature.

The fact that this was done with acrylic in itself is impressive. I have seen several caricature of Tom Richmond, so I am somewhat familiar in what he looks like, so even without a reference image, I am not sure I see the likeness. The painting itself looks very well done, but I am not seeing Tom. Do you have the reference image we can take a look at so we can give a more detailed critique. Thank you.

Hey Takatomo Homma, Well done with your sketches. The confidence to draw this clean is a skill that a lot of artists find difficult. I drew over 1 of your sketches. I find its best to find the start of the line and the end of the line and then figure out the curve. Have the direction of the limbs go in the same direction. Sometimes the masses go against the gesture.
