Painted in Krita. Depicts a slavic "Vila" (fairy) who, by folklore, braid the manes of unattended horses.
Hi everyone, my submission for the April 2022 Challenge is Dracula by Bram Stoker. I used water colours for the illustration and created the cover in Krita. My goal was to make the cover look appropriate to the period in which the novel was written and yet seductively dark.
Your rendering in watercolours is really well done! I have to admit though, the digital border and text around this beautiful watercolour is a bit jarringly plain in comparison to it. But nice work on the texture of the background, the face and clothing folds! I think you have achieved the seductive dark look in the way she is looking directly at the viewer.
