My first and second attempts at the muscles

Hi @spideronthewall, nice studies! There is a big improvement from the first to the second attempts. I'll do my best to help you further :) - Next time you do a tracing, try to think more three dimensionally. The lines you've put down look as if they sat on the surface of the model, like a tattoo. Instead of drawing lines on the surface, try to draw the actual muscle, showing it's three dimensional form. Like you did with the bones in the joint assignment. Think of it like you have a sculpture in front of you; you're building the body with pieces of clay. - What's your goal? Do you want to do illustration? Animation? Realistic portrait drawing? Or something else? Knowing what your goal is might help me guide you better :) - I would highly recommend taking the Drawing Basics course. Anatomy has importance, but you can only benefit from it as far as your drawing skills allow you to. Feel free to continue studying anatomy if you enjoy it, but if your looking to improve your art, focus your efforts on the Drawing Basics course. Since you already own the Figure Drawing Fundamentals course, that could also be a place to go. But I think you'll really enjoy and benefit from the Drawing Basics course. I think it will give you a broader foundation than the figure drawing course. I hope this helps :) Keep up the good work 💪😎👍 Let me know if you have any questions!
