Asked for help
Hi All,
Some of the drawings I have admired most have been from by Atelier Bow-Wow, known for their detailed section perspectives. I appreciate their ability to clearly capture both the quality of space and the architectural information needed to actually construct the space in a single illustration. Other artists that have inspired me recently include Hasui Kawase, Randolph Schwabe, and Hector Lopez. The examples chosen are meant to convey some of the different ways of visualizing architecture that I want to better in my own work.
My primary goal for this course is to advance my ability to capture architecture on a page. I am not necessarily interested as much in thorough renderings but instead to focus on composition and to strengthen my freehand illustration skills. I think I would benefit from better understanding how to use line and tone - as well as the absence of - to get my ideas onto paper.
