Here is my attempt. I struggle with drawing the line where it s too simple and I'm thinkingmaybw it's only me who can see the roster/hippo. Will try more of these.

My human turned out wide 🙃 Interesting to keep in mind when drawing gestures. Nicely simplified Hopefully it becomes like a second nature/feeling of the proportions eventually.

Would call it 'first kill'. He got big fish but kinda sad. Really like how soft and flowy otters look and tried to catch that. My problem Is definitely going too fast. My mind is ahead of my hands and they can't really catch up. That makes messy useless lines and distorted proportions. (Also I'm still waiting for my pencil order. Have only h7 and 2b..so it s either invisible or smudged)

My first and second attmept of the face. I can see improvement, maybe it s just me. Tried to look out for proportions and not view it as a face but more as shapes. Tried to simplify more, but still struggling especially in halftones (difficult to decide which one gets to stay and which ones have to merge together..)

Here s my two pears before and after. So far just trying to find the right pencils to use and fill in the values evenly.

Omg. Yes I just started yesterday and I really need a buddy /community who would 'keep me accountable' and just some community where you can chat about struggles/progress. Would be so cool. I ve been drawing before but had a long break now I really wanna come back stronger and better. 144 lessons I hope to be done with it this year. I have some hours per day to draw but that s if I'm motivated to do it. Also Have had a fear/brain freeze of just starting out so hope this course will take away the mental load of thinking about what to draw. Since I don't have the skill to draw what I really would like to.
