Two variants of th same task, I tried a few different ages and characteristics for each hand. The second image has a simple pass at the shadows that I wasn't totally in love with but wasn't planning to do a full rendering.

I didn't go in for detail with these, more trying to think about the planes of the hands and hows they would be lit by the different light sources. Feedback welcome!
These look super cool @Sam West, amazing job on these!
The only critique would be the bottom left one, the "✌" one. It might just be my hand dexterity but the thumb looks too folded over at the joint as if it's flat to the palm. It's not like the thumb can't touch the palm, it's just that I struggle to have the thumb that close to the palm without it being further across towards the pinky side. Again might just be my dexterity. Great work!

Really fun one! I have a lot of trouble visualising how muscles wrap around bones I'm constantly doubting myself over their thickness and then I end up drawing them 2 dimensionally. I really tried to push volume with these though, and it helped that I have a life model spare! Would really appreciate any and all feedback if poss.
They look really nice! The core shadow gesture is great! I think maybe in the fingers, it should be more a continuous gesture to indicate the general form, I fill it has too many bumps - which are not anatomically wrong! just think it loses a little of this gesture flow.
Anyway, really nice studies.

Skelly assignment. Quite a challenge actually but definitely feeling more confident already. Need to work on line quality a bit more but didn't want to spend too long on pt 1.
