A bunch of 30 second gesture drawings. Feedback would be nice!

Hi @rumiholicdraws, great start! Good gesture and great job avoiding getting caught up in details! Keep on practicing and exploring! I attached an image with some practice tips. I think this is the most important advice I can give you at the moment. If you practice a lot and with those tips in mind I think you'll be able to improve fast and find the answers to many of your questions on your own You might also appreciate watching this video, if you haven't already: How to Hold and Control Your Pencil. Being able to draw long strokes in one go is a great tool for gesture drawing. Hope this helps :) Keep up the good work!

Some random Loomis Heads. Any critique would be appreciated.

It might be helpful to measure with a ruler in the beginning to see if the height and width of your circles are the same.

Oh yeah, construction looks good but the foundation is clearly wrong, thats why they look like smashed(?) Doing circles would help, but meanwhile you get the hang of it, you could just start with circles made with a compass. Is not very legit but saves a lot of frustration at the beginning :) Grettings!

The circle is not just a circle, 4 easy steps to draw a head on youtube videos are something you don't want to watch. The circle represents a sphere(ball), make yourself a simple practice and draw many many circles let's say 100 different sizes then when you get a hang of it use the same circles and divide them to half horizontally on that half draw an ellipse, same vertically and repeat. That way you are getting familiar with probably the hardest simplified object that is sphere (because of ellipses and perspective)

Finally decided to be brave enough to post assignments here. I tried to draw some eggs with the light source varying at different angles and tried to add the occlusion shadows. Would appreciate any critiques.

Nice drawings! I'm glad you took the courage to post these! Here's a video that I think will help you take these to the next level https://www.proko.com/lesson/mind-blowing-realistic-shading-tricks/assignments I hope this helps :) Keep up the good work!
