I usually don't do many art challenges, but when I saw that this one was a "movie poster " one, I couldn't say no .I have loved creating my own movie posters ever since I was a kid, so I had a lot of fun with this. Thanks to Proko,I really got learn some techniques when it comes to digital art that I got to implement here. For this poster, I was going for an 80's campy horror-comedy movie vibe. The concept is this idea of growing attached to childhood nightmares and letting those ideas give inspiration to your work. Literally.
I really had fun doing this challenge and definitely motivated me to draw and get back on track. My poster is more based on fantasy and my hobby of learning history, as of recently I’ve been reading Norse mythology that’s why there’s the Midgard serpent in the background. Not to far in the book but I am enjoying it so far, slowly but steady.
My submission for Proko challenge, it was made with blender and photoshop, here the WIP: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/3dGxlo
The concept is the "shift" that happened when my girlfriend entered my life. She helped with my social anxiety represented here by the dark side of the city. Also the city and the bench are used to allude my profession, architecture, which is also a big part of my life. The movie would be something like a slice-of-life/thriller.
And here it is. My first work for a contest. It’s lousy but I learned some cool things to take into my future pieces.
Hello everyone! Nice to meet you all. I'm glad to participate to this challenge, the theme is really inspiring. So here is the movie poster of my life, entitled "Time, love & chaos". It would be a science fiction movie about time travel. I find Time to be something fascinating, both from a physical and philosophical point of view. For the past two years I've been working a lot on my drawing skills in order to become a professional illustrator and concept artist, and I had a real problem with Time. Either it passed too quickly, or not quickly enough and I often thought it would be nice if someone invented time travel!
Good luck to everyone :-)
My movie is called "Power on"
This paints a story of my life from childhood to who I am now. My aim was to illustrate how we're constantly working to build our individuality whilst we power/handle different areas of our lives from delivering ideas to meet our KPI targets, finding inner tranquillity and peace, childhood memories, sleep, the ticking time bomb of having a family.
This was a great challenge as I've always avoided creating a full art piece. Thank you Proko for giving us this amazing opportunity
"The Impostor"
The true story of a real fraud.
Hello there fellow humans,
This is my take on this awesome Proko Challenge.
I hope you like it!
Cheers,
-Leon
PS: Would love to hear feedback!
Hello everyone! Really nice to meet you all & looking at all of your works really have excited me
This is my first time participating in a Proko Challenge & also the first time I'm utilising 3D in my illustration & it was quite a scary but rewarding experience.
My film is called "World Gone Mad (Martin's Attribution)" There's a second name behind it because I thought it'll be cool to continue on making it into series in the future.
Martin, our main protagonist is a courageous boy living in a dystopian timeline set in about 100 years in the future where a military tech organisation has over majority of the globe. His parents once worked for the organisation as robotic scientists, helping them to develop a few of the most powerful machines mankind has ever seen.
Tragically, Martin soon lost his parents after they have been murdered by the organisation for developing a machine that was meant to overthrow the organisation.
Then on, Martin's only hope is to make his parents' wish come true.
The poster depicts Martin's bravery.
