I tried the study with an other Norman Rockwell painting. I'm not sure how to do the outline thing in krita (or if it's even possible), so I started without it. Things got shifted around and the scale is a bit wonky, but I think it turned out okay. Stopped partway through, because I had no energy left in me to finish it.

Oh wow, It's incredibly easy to lose the values. The stairs look off, but I managed colors better than I hoped for

It's a wonderful thing to have a lot to learn, and truthfully there's never a point where there ISN'T a lot to learn 😁 This is a great start. You could experiment by adding some lighter values in the head and upper body to make that a focal point.

The female reference bundle repeats the first 1154 images beginning at image 1510. I didn't organize the male bundle yet, but at a glance it doesn't have the same problem
