Great job simplifying, especially with the snail. In some areas, like in the sole of the boots, you get it bit heavy handed, but overall your lines are looking good. Just keep practicing using a light hand for your initial lines so you don't need to go so dark to define the correct line. It's okay that you got tripped up with the laces, it's a very complex area. You may need to slow the pace down a bit to get your footing (pun intended). It could help also to take a break before you start more complex areas in your drawing so you don't feel like you have to rush through it to beat fatigue.
