2021/9/27. Hi All. This is my latest portrait. It still seems too flat to me. Any idea or advice to make it better? Thanks.
You're really close as far as proportion. I think her right eye is a bit large so that pushed her face to the wider side. So her mouth is a bit more to the right which could be the aftermath of the right eye. Other than that, Fantastic job!! Keep it up!

Here's my attempt of shading. Personally, I liked my construction one better before I shaded it but it's a work in progress. I'm getting out of my comfort level and pushing through it. Everyone here is making great progress! Keep it up everyone!! ^_^v

Hello Everyone, I'm working on my own character lately and would love to get some feedback. As far as right now, her name is Hylda Fermi and she was raised by her father who was a great general (I'm still learning the history of Medieval Times). She accompany with the main character Zacas Basheth on a journey to seek who was responsible of the death of their parents and whole village. Hylda is agile, and a strategist while Zacas, well.. is neither.

Hi Michael! I agree with Bradwynn, you're lower thirds seem to be a bit smaller than the top, this might be the case with some people as Stan points out, but usually you want your thirds to match in size. I like how smooth your lines are, though. No hesitation and you seem pretty confident, I think that will help you a lot along the way. Great job!

Nice drawing Michael! If you are going for the thirds of the face to be equal then I'd double check the length of the bottom third of the face (chin to nose). It looks a bit smaller that the other thirds. Otherwise solid!!
Hello Everyone! Here's my attempt on this assignment. To me, it doesn't seem like he's looking down. What can I do to improve this?
Hi Michael! I think your exercise is very good, and the only reason I think it doesn't look like he is looking down is because the eyes are looking directly to the front. As the eyes look down, they seem smaller. I noticed that Stan's model is almost part of the straight line as the circles of the eyes are almost in line with the rest of the eye. Hope that helps a bit 😉

Hello Everyone!! I hope that you all are doing well. Over the weekend or so I've been practicing the Loomis Head method. Definitely doing those tough angles for me. Then I took a couple of those heads and try to add the features and shading. Critiques are always welcome! Thanks in advance. ^_^ v
