Simplify to CSI - Level 1, Part Two: Boots
The first drawing was made before watching the demo video. I think it lacks of straight lines so I tried a second attempt with another picture.

Good for you for self-critiquing and applying what you learned, these turned out great! You definitely have a good mix of curves and straights in your second pair.

Asked for help
I made my first attempt about 20 days ago and it was made before watching the critique video. After that, I started to understand better the assignment and I tried a new approach, these time with the pear/image number 2.
In digital, with Procreate, I've made a study of the different planes that defines the volume of the pear. It isn't a real drawing because it was made tracing the real image put on a layer below. I don't know if it is cheating but it helped my eye to analyze the planes defined by the different tones and gave me a way to define my own interpretation (by the way, following these steps on my own I've reached almost the same result suggested by this tool: https://www.proko.com/values). Then, I've drown the pencil version, that is a further interpretation based on the digital one.
The posted images show the entire process.
I hope this time the result is more aligned with the purpose of the project.
As always, any critique/feedback is welcome.
Thanks to everyone.

Hello everyone! These are my firsts attempts on the project, in pencil and digital (Procreate). I haven't great experience In both medium but the digital one is the very first try. I have never drawn on iPad and I have few knowledge of levels and brushes and I wasn't consistent using the same tools while drawing. I've found very hard hatching the different tones and maintaining a constant filling in both drawings. Any feedback or suggestion is welcome. Thanks!
