2022/8/28. Good morning everybody. Here’s my 30 minutes warming up exercise. The method and the approach to the drawing the @Marco Bucci explains in this video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HCq2NUq8EXA
has been very helpful to speed the process of the laying up.
The result is not perfect. Some elements are a little bit off, like the eyes that are too close each other and forehead that is too short. But the point of this 30 mins is not to make a perfect work. The purpose to me is trying to catch the main characteristics of the character in a very short time and in order to do this I need to develop a more instinctive approach to the drawing.
Thanks and have a good Sunday.
I realize the sketch was to light AND far so here is the sketch up close 😂
Hello fellow artists 😊!
It's been literally 2 years since I drew anything and I am now getting back to drawing and painting more seriously (considering going to school for art but still on the fence 🤣!) . I'm more of an anime/cartoon-y artist but I want to change up my style and go more realistic if not semi realistic in my work. I've been practicing drawing the Loomis head more this week and I decided to draw something to see where I am at.
The painting on the right is the last painting I did before I stop drawing and this is more or less my style I'd like to move away from. The left is a sketch I did today of Ruvik from The Evil Within video game and I wanted to draw him look back and up at the viewer like he did in the game at the CCTV camera.
I'm sorry if the drawing may be to light because I'm also teaching myself on how to be loose and adding line weight (which I may not have achieved lol) where need be. Again this is just a sketch and more of a practice of the human face.
All useful critiques and feedback on both works are welcome! 💕
First off, amazing job! Second, I'm not too scared because there is one thing an AI can't do and that putting soul and emotion into a piece. An actual living, breathing, human's work hit different than something that is generated around parameters. If anything I think AI generating work will help in getting work done faster WITH the artist painting over and manipulating what was generated.

Simply amazing! From your understanding of gesture to your understanding of color has sky rocketed within the past two years! I think you could have pushed the lighting a little in your new recreation to make it pop more but think that's just a small detail I like to do in my own work since I like flashy lol either way AMAZING 👏👏👏👏👏😊👌!!!!!!
