This is after watching the Level 1 critique video, I seem to be struggling to shade the lighter tones mainly because I've noticed it's really hard to make soft lines with my new graphite pencils. Does anyone have any advice for that (I'm assuming the answer is just practice).

This jumps ahead a bit but this is a great exercise to start incorporating for pencil control: https://www.proko.com/course-lesson/project-value-scales/assignments. I like to warm up with value scales

This is my first attempt at level 1, very new to drawing here, I'm not pro or even amateur, but by golly it is a lot of fine to get lost in it. My very first attempt is on left, Second in the middle and third on right. Any critique or feedback would be most welcome.
