Here's my Submission for this assignment; I feel like I need to have more line weight variety.
Not sure where the Image for my original post went but here's take 2 of the shadow and light.

Quick confession. This is were I get really frustrated and quite or have a hard time motivating my self to continue. Very unhappy with the results, my line quality, proportions, overall just really struggled with this and not getting the results I had hoped for.
First off, that's a darn good frog: the sketch is great and I think the expression is amazing. Your second penguin is pretty solid too.
Your lines and proportions will improve as long as you keep focusing on them while you practice. You may also want to give yourself more time for some of your future drawings. For me the first time I did these, I only spent 5 - 10 minutes per sketch and did a few tries of each, and none of them turned out decent. The next day though I spent 20 minutes on the hand, didn't like it, then spent another 20 minutes trying to fix it just to see what would happen, and it actually turned out great. Sometimes we're hot, sometimes we're not, hang in there.

I am peared out. This is the Final pear. I think the more I draw this pear, the worst it get. Unfortunately the light tone isn't coming through very well with the scan. Again. Hb .5 and .2 mechanical pencil.
