This is how I see Cillian.

Here is my assigment. This was a difficult one for me.

I loved this exercise! On the first two references (unknown artist) I focused mostly on shading. My third reference is Glen Keane (Pocahontas), and that allowed me to focus more on the lines. I know my lines are looking a bit messy, but I hope they will improve as I practice more.

Like everybody else, I struggled a bit with the light and shadow assignment. I hope this is right, but will follow up with the demo.

Good choices throughout -- I would recommend furthen lightening the less important areas in the Importance of Hierarchy version, as many of the lines inside the thicker outside border compete with each other. By making the small wrinkles even lighter, for example, it creates more levels of importance and helps bring more clarity overall. For the Light & Shadow assignment, it looks pretty good, but I would recommend not filling in sections of shadow (like in the back area) when the focus is solely on line, since it makes it appear disproportionately heavy. Hope this helps, keep it up :)

Level 2 Sketch before demo.

Great sketches! The linework is very effective and the experimentation with poses really progressed the drawings further. I especially love the top middle one on the second page --super adorable!
