Hi Jesse, nice drawings :)
In my opinion I would recommend you to focus on the basic shapes of the head. The rendering is going well but there are certain parts that don't line up correctly. Remember that (in general) you have to draw the primary shapes first.

Cheers :)
Hello! I’m posting my attempts at similarly drawing and would appreciate any feedback from you all. Thank you for this community!
Hi! Great start, I think you definitely show experience with drawing portraits before. It's looking good for the most part, but I would point out to watch for the perspective of the face, especially at the guideline stage. It helps to keep thinking about the most simple version of the head, which is a box, as this breaks it down to the main planes you will see e.g. the front face, the side, the top of the head. This comes especially in handy when placing the guidelines for the features, as it will follow the same direction as when placed on the box. Focusing on solid construction at the basic form stage will set up your drawing for success once you start adding more complex detail.
But keep it up -- you're on a great track, and the course will continue to dive into the placement of the features in more detail. I also highly recommend checking out this recent video that helps visualize the perspective of the head further: Project - Portraits in Perspective.
Side note, what are your goals in your art education? I would love to give any feedback or advice I can if you have questions regarding this subject.
I’m new here. Just signed up for the portrait drawing course. I’ve been drawing for a long time, but I’ve went out of order in my art education. Any feedback is welcome.
