I never drew a thing before July 2024. I'm not very creative, but I spend a lot of time enjoying other people's creativity, so I wonder.

I was struggling to understand the point of tapering, but this video helps a lot. Ghosting aids the start of a taper and Follow-Through aids the end of a taper. So it's like I'm drawing part of an unseen line that starts before my line and ends after my line. My line appears when the ghost meets the page and it disappears before it ends.

I don't feel like I did the assignment. For the girl and the hand, I outlined the contours before beginning. For the penguin, I just threw lines down more intuitively. I don't understand how to execute a tapered line and I don't understand how sketching helps me identify the right line. I'm going to stop thinking about the assignment now and watch the demo.

The first one I did before seeing the demo and I didn't really understand the assignment. Then I tried to improve the snail a few times.
I haven't tried the assignment yet, I think the goal of this project is to draw the contour like in the pear and potrait lesson, but now use c and s lines. It looks like in the demo he did lightly draw the shell just for starting points. I look forward to trying this lesson.
