Hi, is there an invite link to the discord channel? Thanks
This is my first time combining reference and entering in any art competition.
I do want to be a concept artist so for the past two years I solely devoted myself just learning the fundamentals no self artwork jus study. I hope to improve more and be the best as I can and draw imaginary scenes🥰.
Goodluck to me and everyone!😊

What is you best way of approach on studying values? I've been studying quick gestural marks with fat brush by Matt Kohr(ctrlpaint.com) and he calls it an Hybrid gesture drawing but somehow sketching still life with values and big stokes are pretty difficult for me. I am studying values but I am not quite sure if I am studying them the right way. Here are my recent three 7-10 out of 15 flower gesture drawing homework.

When is Marshall New Perspective Course gonna be released?
Honestly, throughout the video courses online about perspective Marshall Vandruff still the best one teaching this stuff. Also, considering that he only uses chalk to explain how perspective works but still beats most/all(or at least for me) perspective video courses out there.
I wonder that now we have newer technology and the use of 3D, Marshall Course will probably boom and be top of the list "BEST PERSPECTIVE COURSE EVER!!"

Drawing the figure, do you always need to start with gesture drawing then forms to details or you could skip gesture and start from forms to details?

When drawing the head straight on front view and on a reference when the head had a little tilt to the side, do you capture the tilt or just draw it straight up with a vertical line? I never really seen this answered on any videos on YouTube so far, I'm curious to know. Thanks in advance!

When drawing the head front view from a reference and if it has a little tilt to the side, do you capture the tilt or make it vertically symmetrical?
When I draw them front view with a little tilt to the side, I always got the angle of the jaw wonky.
