Here are my submissions and reference photos. I used a 3/4 inch flat brush with gouache on illustration board. I had so much fun exploring the challenge and our recent snowy landscape:)
Love seeing everyone's wonderful paintings.
Thank you so much!
Hi all, my name is Julia Kamenskikh, and this is my official entry for #prokochallenge organized by @tiffaniemangart and @prokotv Five tiny paintings, all sized by 2 in x 2 in. Painted with gouache and 3/4 in brush. And I think those are the smallest paintings ever done before. And cannot express how much I’ve enjoyed it. You are forced to simplify and it feels like solving a puzzle to me. I will be definitely doing these again, thank you Tiffany for such a great idea and all organizers for organizing this! All photos are taken by me.
Here are my 5! I made about 25 of these and picked the 5 I thought were best, haha. I am not super familiar with gouache and the big brush was super challenging! I used pics from my trip to Iceland. Thank you for pushing us with this challenge.
Here are my submissions! I painted these from reference photos I took on a trip to beautiful British Columbia this past autumn. The landscape there is so different to what I'm used to, so I wanted to capture the mountains, forests, and dazzling sunsets. These are painted in gouache on watercolour board, using 6 colours plus white (lemon yellow, yellow ochre, cadmium red, permanent rose, phthalo blue, ultramarine blue). I made a bunch of other ones but decided on these for my final 5. Great challenge! Love to see everyone's work.
Greetings from the north! I love this season light and every hour counts. Got really inspired of this challenge and made a bunch of studies. Here are my five picks. I hope you enjoy. Gouache on paper, with flat 3/4 and round 12 brush.
Hi there! Would city scenes count for this challenge? I live in a pretty urban area so most of my photo refs are not traditional landscapes with rolling hills/mountains/forests. Thank you!
