there's any difference on the type of the plaster you are using? when I went to the store, there were 3 different types. i wasn't sure about which one i should use.

Hi Andrew, I am kind of finishing my scupture and I realized that the texture is not as realistic I would like. Do you have any tip to how create a realistic texture on the skin?

texturing is a tricky thing and it just takes time and practice to get good. You might also see if there are videos of people doing the specific texture you're going for and you can see their process of creating a realistic texture.
Make sure all of the underlying forms are accurate too before worrying about texture. Great texture won't fix bad or misshapen forms. Good luck!

I really like Chavant NSP medium clay. I also recently did a video about some inexpensive Dollar Tree clay that's not bad.
