Not quite sure what I'm doing wrong here but most look different from what I imagined.
- hand was hovering above the paper
- tried different variations in form and shape
- doing fewer rotations helped (the amount of times going over each circle)
- it was a big challenge varying the line strength - what's the trick here?
- also proportions were really difficult
- also hitting the edges of the circles before (so they align and don't cross over each other)
Just more practice?

Keep practicing!! Remember the point of this exercise is not to make good looking mushrooms but to warm up your hand and improve your line quality, so I would actually encourage you to do more rotations, not less. As your doing the rotations, try to find a speed where you have control and can mark an ellipse shape; not to slow to wobble, and not to fast to get out of control. It looks to me like you might be trying to trace the first shape you throw down, which might be fine if your trying to work on line control, but I think for this exercise the goal is more about making clean ellipses. Keep doing rotations until you have a confident shape. Good job!

I think those look great! There's a noticeable difference when you can catch a sense of the fun and play involved in design. Keep it up man!
