Studies of Dave Malan. Fell like I had some trouble recreating his lines. Happy with the result though. Please critique.
Hi, this is a beautiful master study. I like your line quality! I had never of Dave Malan and did a quick search now and it looks like he's a portrait artist. I'm def going to follow his work - it's amazing! Thanks for introducing him :)

The result is striking! Really great job. I can see what you're saying about trouble recreating in the crosshatching. Dave uses very confident, sketchy shading that doesn't necessarily follow the form of the figure, but looks great because he's confident with the strokes. Yours seem less confident and as a result don't have the same impact. A very minor critique because your drawing looks amazing :D Great work.
