I initially chose to draw my microphone, but I found it challenging to use squares to represent the circular part where the stands connects and to get the angles of the stands just right. So switched to a simpler subject, a dog toy
I came across this just as I decided to practice drawing from imagination today—perfect timing, lol. I can copy from a photo, but I struggle to draw without a reference. This video was really inspiring! Not sure whether this is a good approach, but I looked up some spaceship photos, studied the key elements, and then tried to memorize the structures. Then I pieced together different elements to experiment a bit without reference at all. The result isn’t great because of my limited art skills, but it was a really interesting experience!

Add some explanations to the ratings, would love to see whether I miss anything

Finally submitted the assignment before the deadline! This was way harder than Peter's straight-line practice! I’ve noticed that when I focus less on the tip of my pencil and more on the overall path of the line, the result tends to be straighter and smoother. Interestingly, my second attempt (on the right) looks worse than my first attempt (on the left). This also happens with Peter's straight-line practice, and I’m not sure why. It can be a bit discouraging to see things getting worse instead of improving lol.

This is definitely harder than I expected. For what I did, feel some part is off but don't know what it is. Help is appreciated
