Here is my assignments that I have been working on the last week. I had a hard time getting the proportions right, and I’m still working on getting the hair more mat instead of glossy but other than that I’m pretty happy about this. What do you guys think? Do you have any suggestions about what I should do to improve it?

I don't normally post online, but thought I'd share. I hadn't done any drawing or art since I was a kid, until I had a child of my own and drew with her. During lockdown I thought I'd try some drawing again. This is a picture I recently found in a sketchbook from the start of that lockdown, with a re-do of it I've recently done following the portrait course. I was surprised by the difference. The recent one is obviously better, although I can see some things that clearly still need work. I'd love to keep improving working on drawings and art, but not sure where go next. @Jesper Axelsson, I've seen your work, it's great and you give well thought out, considered advise to people. I was hoping you had ideas? I was thinking Figure Drawing course but I want to get this stuff right too. Cheers, Mick

In my first two pages I didn’t know about the 3D mode so I made them up from my head. My last page was considerably better. My previous ellipse theory does not work when the subject is looking forward. Not perfect but the practice definitely shows improvement.

Finishing this was like running a marathon, I hope it gets easier for the next one. I don't think I did a good job solving the hair and the wrinkles. Any feedback would be appreciated!
