This perspective is very important, and I don't want me to misunderstand it. I have a couple of rather vague questions to ask about this.

This is a very difficult position. I think you did great. I think a bit less of the front plane of the face would be showing, so I would raise the chin and corners of the mandible up a bit, and also raise the shoulders to match. The only other option I can think of is the external jugular vein as a possibility for that piece of anatomy, since it is overlapping the sternocleidomastoid and wrapping inwards.

Attempted to change the orientation of the chest, resulting in the inability to draw the proper arm, will have to wait to add after the corresponding course

I have to admit that this reference photo was too difficult for me. I have absolutely no way of accurately identifying the position of the muscles. I accomplished this by relying on the junction of the deltoid and trapezius to guess where the scapula is located.
